5 Colonials March Into Wrestling's Region 3 Tournament
A top-three finish comes with a shot at the state title in Atlantic City.
MORRISTOWN, N.J. – It was a busy weekend for Morristown High School’s wrestlers, but a fruitful one, as five Colonials won their way out of the district tournament and notched a spot in the Region 3 event this weekend.
The tournament will be held this weekend in Union and feature the following Morristown grapplers. Their names, seeds, and weight classes are as follows:
- Dylan Allison, 5th seed, 120 pounds
- Chase Champi, 7th seed, 152 pounds
- Justin Contreras, 7th seed, 160 pounds
- Brandon Diaz, 8th seed, 220 pounds
- Brian Fajardo, 6th seed, 285 pounds
The top three finishers in each weight class will move on to the state championships in Atlantic City the following weekend. There are a total of eight regions that will square off this weekend.
