600 Outages In Morristown, Traffic Lights Out On Morris St.

Traffic lights are out around Morris Street. Morristown police deployed officers to direct traffic, but delays are possible.

Update: Morristown has no more reported power outages as of 1 p.m. Friday, according to Jersey Central Power & Light.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — About 600 lost power Friday morning in Morristown, and the outage affected traffic lights on Morris Street. Morristown police deployed officers to direct traffic, but delays may occur.

About 6 percent of Morristown lost power, according to Jersey Central Power & Light. The electric company expects power to return at around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

JCP&L has reported 615 outages in Morristown as of 10:20 a.m. Friday. The outages aren't widespread, as all surrounding towns have only five outages or fewer as of this publication.
