The Annual Gran Fondo Returns to Morristown In September

You don't have to have Armstrongesque stamina to join the Gran Fondo event come September. The Gran Fondo event is for cyclists of all levels, including children.

The Gran Fondo NJ event will return to Morristown this September for lovers of cycling. Cyclists can choose to ride a mere 18 miles, or go the long haul with the most popular route, the 107-mile Gran Fondo. Winding your way through verdant Jersey on some of the best cycling roads has participants voting the New Jersey Gran Fondo best of versions held in other locales. Best of all, there is no start or finish timing, so casual cyclists can enjoy the scenic beauty without the competitive push driving their legs to the finish line.

Gran Fondo NJ will provide a weekend packed with festivals, expo, and other entertainment for people of all ages. There will be raffles and food along the way, including specialty items supplied by event caterers and local cafes. Care for a cannoli while you cycle? Or a cookie? No need to reach for a sugar-packed energy gel packet or a paper cup full of water. You can indulge in the full Gran Fondo experience.

The event can also be a means to fundraise, something riders in the past have done to support their favorite local and national charities. It has generated over $750,000 in donations since its inception.
