Arthur's Tavern In Morris Plains Has 'Tastiest Burger': Magazine

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — Authur's Tavern was voted the "Tastiest Burger" by the New Jersey Family magazine in their latest rankings.

The Morris Plains tavern topped the burger section of the annual "Ultimate Bucket List" survey, which asked readers what some of their must-do's are in New Jersey.

"The famous no-frills hamburger is a staple at this local watering hole. Arthur’s is also frequented for its steaks, especially the 24-ounce Delmonico ribeye," the magazine had to say about Aurthur's.

"We’re so lucky to live in a state that has it all—beautiful beaches, exceptional food and so many fun places to take the kids," said Dina El Nabli, New Jersey Family’s editorial director. "Thanks to our readers, we’ve compiled many of these gems in our third annual bucket list."

Arthur's is an old-school style steakhouse that serves steaks, burgers, and sandwiches. A "Famous 10 Oz Burger" is $7.95, while steaks range in price from $22.95 for a 16 ounce steak to $49.95 for a 48 ounce steak.

Arthur's Tavern is located at 700 Speedwell Ave in Morris plains, and is open Monday and Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This isn't the first time the tavern has topped a fan-favorite list. In 2017, it was named the Best Burger and Best Steakhouse in the county by the Daily Record's Reader's Choice Awards.
