Atlantic Health System, one of Fortunes 100 Great Places to Work, hosted over 350 children across its six sites at Take your Child to Work Day 2019.

The children participated in a number of activities designed to showcase non-traditional healthcare careers including:

  • Pet therapy visits
  • Life-sized game of Operation
  • CPR and AED training and demonstrations
  • Sports health stretches and games
  • Cooking demonstrations and basil planting
  • Helicopter flyover and landing
  • Hand washing
  • Dental hygiene
  • Tours on ambulances, fire trucks, special ops vehicles, and other emergency equipment

As the official health care partner of the New York Jets, each site also received a special visit from a team player. Nathan Shepherd, Brandon Copeland, Doug Middleton, Derrick Jones, Brain Winters, and Jonotthan Harrison attended the events and inspired them to dream big.
