Carbon Monoxide Leaks At Hotel In Greater Morristown
About six people needed to evacuate the Westin Governor Morris, but none required medical attention.
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Authorities responded to a carbon monoxide leak early Tuesday morning at the Westin Governor Morris. About six people evacuated the hotel for precautionary purposes, but none required medical attention, police said.
Firefighters from the five Morris Township stations and Madison worked to locate the source and evacuate guests. Officials located readings on all floors and secured issues with the boiler, according to the Fairchild Fire Company in Morris Plains.
The Morris Township Fire Department investigated the incident.
