Chick-Fil-A's First Morris County Location Now Open

The wait is finally over, and the county's first Chick-Fil-A is now open.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — A year after it was first announced, Morris County's first Chick-Fil-A is now open.

The Chick-Fil-A is located at 1711 Route 10 in Morris Plains, and opened Thursday morning with a "First 100 Red Carpet Rollout," giving free Chick-Fil-A to 100 lucky customers.

The restaurant and drive-thru is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and, like all Chick-Fil-As, will be closed on Sunday. It has 102 indoor seats and another 20 patio seats, plus a two-story children's playground.

The rain didn't stop hungry locals from heading over on opening day. Online posts show a healthy line for the give-away in the predawn hours, and the restaurant remained busy around 10 a.m., especially the drive-thru. Customers sitting in the restaurant mid-morning were offered free reusable cups celebrating the opening.
