Cop Assaulted In Morris Co. Park: Park Police Blotter

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Morris County Park Police made several arrests between Sept. 26 and Sept. 29, including for hindering arrest, drugs, and assault on a law enforcement officer. You can read about those arrests, as written by police in the blotter, here:
9/26: ARREST FOR D.W.I./RESISTING ARREST: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Rockaway Borough. An investigation led to Joshua R. Covello, age 18, of Denville Township, to be charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Obstruction of the Administration of Law, Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, and numerous motor-vehicle violations. He was released with a court date pending.
9/26: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers observed a County Ordinance violation at Hedden County Park in Mine Hill Township. An investigation led to Benjamin J. Holeczko, age 18, of Wharton, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. He was released with a court date pending.

9/29: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS/HINDERING: Officers executed a motor-vehicle at Central Park of Morris County in Parsippany Township. An investigation led to Miguel R. Valladares-Velez, age 18, of Morristown, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Danny K. Verdugo, age 18, of Morristown, to be charged with Hindering Apprehension. They were both released with court dates pending.
