Dogs Left On The Side Of Rt. 46 Looking For New Homes
Two dogs were found dumped by the side of Route 46 on Wednesday, and they both need homes.

MINE HILL, NJ — Two dogs were found left by the side of Route 46 in Mine Hill Wednesday morning, and the pups are looking for a home together.
Hope, pictured above, and her Italian Greyhound friend were found in a crate on the side of the highway on Wednesday, Mine Hill officials said. The greyhound was taken immediately to the pound, but Hope needed medical attention first.
"She came through surgery like a champ! She has had her bladder stones removed, has been spayed, has a had a full dental - and will be ready for a foster or adoptive home this evening!" Mine Hill officials wrote. The ten-year-old dog need her stitches out in two weeks and then a special diet for the rest of her life.

Hope will need an immediate home while she waits out her 7-day Animal Control hold. More information on her Italian Greyhound friend soon; officials say the two are bonded, so any home that can take them together gets "bonus points."
