School Supplies Drive for Needy Children

The Morris County Women's Advisory Committee to the Freeholders and several area Girl Scout troops in the county will be collecting donations of school supplies from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 in front of the ACME supermarket on Speedwell Avenue in Morris Plains.

Children of families served by the  and Outreach Center and the Lake Drive School for the Hearing Impaired will benefit from the donations this year.

While any type of new school supplies will be welcome, the youngsters are most in need of pens, pencils, colored pencils, crayons, markers, construction paper, notebooks and three-ring notebook paper.
