Forbes Ranks Morris County Town Among Priciest Homes In The Nation

Which ZIP code came in 76th in the nation with an average home price of $2.48 million?

Morris County has been named among the wealthiest counties in the nation for years, and now Forbes says one of its ZIP codes has among the priciest homes in the country.

In its annual rankings of priciest homes by ZIP code, Forbes magazine ranked New Vernon, a section of Harding Township, at number 76 overall, with an average home listing price of $2,480,153.

Only one New Jersey town was higher than New Vernon, with Alpine coming in at number 12, boasting an average home price of $4,867,731.

Atherton, California topped the list of 500, with an average price of $10,564,038, besting the number two town by more than $3 million. Number two went to Sagaponack, New York, with a home listing price of $7,416,538.
