
MORRISTOWN, N.J. – For most of his life, Paul Perkalis, Sr. served his country and the law.
The former Morristown Police officer died at age 82 on Sunday, Feb. 14, according to his obituary.
Perkalis was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After the war, he spent 25 years in the Morristown Police Department, retiring as a sergeant.

After his retirement from the force, Perkalis became an auto mechanic.
He is predeceased by his late wife of 58 years, Margaret, who died in May 2015. He is survived by a son, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. at Church of the Assumption in Morristown. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Doyle Funeral Home on Maple Avenue in Morristown.
Memorial donations may be made to the Morris Township Fire Department, Station 2 Collinsville, Whippany Road, Morristown, NJ 07960.
