Free Food Boxes in Morristown to assist needy families

Local non-profit organization and church partner to provide relief to food-insecure families

POWER® in partnership with the Church of God in Christ for All Saints will be distributing FREE Food Boxes on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 1 pm - 5 pm at 3 Rev. G.A. Rogers Way (formerly Rowe Street), Morristown, NJ 07960 to assist families in need. 1 Food Box per household -- each food box contains: meat, dairy, fruit and vegetables.
The boxes will be distributed by drive-thru between 1 pm - 5 pm or walk-ins. Social distancing and masks must be worn and observed at all times.
If you are a Senior or do not have access to the internet/need assistance with registration, we can assist you, but strongly recommend self-registration through Eventbrite:

This event is aimed at directly helping those within underserved communities impacted by COVID-19 in an effort to address food insecurity.

POWER CHANGES LIVES is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, headquartered in Morris Plains, NJ that provides services in the areas of Food Insecurity (Project F.E.E.D.®), Aging (Senior Connect®), Homelessness (Project Warmth®, LavaLove®), Education (iPlay®, iAmArt®, iLearn®), and Social Justice and Reform (The Justice League®, The Crimson Project®). Founded by Penelope Lopez, CEO and Executive Director, to-date, hundreds of Kindle Fire tablets have been distributed to at-risk Seniors as part of their COVID-19 relief initiative, over 400 lbs of clothing to children in need, Walmart gift cards to the homeless to purchase food and toiletries, and FREE music instruments with virtual instruction to hundreds of K-12 students in low-income, minority and underserved communities through iPlay®. The Church of God in Christ for All Saints, under the leadership of Pastor Robert C. Rogers has been heavily embedded in the Black and Brown communities within Census Tract 435. To address food insecurity, this event is under their initiative "The Shephard's Table", and is not the first time the church has distributed food boxes to the community. As a member of the Morris County clergy council, and as a community leader, Pastor Rogers and the church has founded and sponsors the Annual Community Health Day in its 26th year (in partnership with Atlantic Health System), Operation Love® for over 30 years, Babies in Need®, and more recently in early April, partnered with Empower the Village and Zufall Health to distribute of over 130 COVID-19 vaccines as a pop-up site location.
