German Language School Students Sing at Christmas Market

German Language School/Morris County Students To Sing at 16th Annual Lake Mohawk German Christmas Market, Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at 4:00 pm

From O Tannenbaum and Dicke Rote Kerze to Sei gegrüßt lieber Nikolaus, students from the German Language School of Morris County (www.njlearnsgerman.org and www.glsmc.org), will perform favorite German Christmas Carols Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the 16th Annual Lake Mohawk Christmas Market in the Entertainment Tent along the Boardwalk.

“Everyone looks forward to the annual Christmas Market, which mirrors the Christmas bazaars found in villages and cities throughout the German-speaking countries,“ notes Thorsten Rosner, School President. “What’s not a better way to get into the holiday spirit than by joining together to sing traditional Christmas hymns and carols, while helping local charities? We invite the public to join and sing along, as most of the songs are familiar to us in English and in German.”

The non-profit’s Saturday language programs includes classes for parents and their babies and toddlers, a pre-K through 12th grade program for native and non-native speakers, as well as continuing education classes for adults.
