Hit-And-Run Driver Wanted After Rt. 80 Crash: State Police

Police say a hit-and-run driver caused a pickup truck to flip in Mount Olive earlier this week.

MOUNT OLIVE, NJ — New Jersey State Police are searching for a driver they say was involved in a hit-and-run crash that caused another car to flip over on Route 80 in Mount Olive.

Daniel Guerrini, 25, of Andover, was driving his pickup truck on the highway Monday around 5:30 a.m. when he was hit by an unidentified car, police siad. Guerrini ran into a Toyota, before his car went off the road and overturned.

The car that hit Guerrini's truck drove away immediately after the crash, police said. Guerrini had minor injuries, while the driver of the Toyota was not injured at all.

Police say the crash happened on Interstate 80 on the eastbound lanes, near milepost 26 in Mount Olive. Anyone with information about the third car is asked to contact State Police Trooper Peter Munoz-Aquino of Netcong Station at 973-347-1001. Tips may be made anonymously.
