MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — It's a second chance at life for Klaus (Max), a four-year-old rescued from a rural shelter just before a scheduled euthanasia. Now, Klaus needs a forever home in New Jersey.

Klaus is a Labrador Retriever mix, and was rescued by Eleventh Hour Rescue. "Klaus is truly a gentle giant who loves all people, especially children. He is a big boy, but walks nicely on a leash and is very even-tempered," the rescue says.

The dog is house-trained and knows basic commands, and would make a good family dog. Anyone interested in taking Klaus home can visit www.ehrdogs.org or call 973-664-0865.
