Longtime Morristown Nurse, Tennis Champ Dies at 75

Anita Dolan leaves a husband, two children, and six grandchildren.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – Anita Dolan lead a life of accomplishment, both professional and personally.

The longtime Morristown Medical Center nurse died recently at the age of 75.

Dolan was born in Montclair and worked at Cornell Medical Center of Nursing and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital before getting married and moving to Convent Station with her husband of 46 years.

Dolan moved on to be a nurse at Morristown Medical Center, when it was named Morristown Memorial Hospital, as well as Executive Health Exams before retiring after 30 years in March of 2014

In her personal life, Dolan was an accomplished skier, two-time Ladies Singles Tennis Champion at Morris County Golf Club, and a competitive runner having competed in half marathons in Boston and New York City.

She is survived by her husband, Vinny, two sons, and six grandchildren.
