Man Charged In Morris Co, Bank Robbery: Prosecutor
Officials say the man took off with about $2,000 following the robbery the day before Thanksgiving,.
BOONTON, NJ — A Boonton man has been arrested over a week after he is accused of rubbing a bank in the town, officials said.
Andrew T. Merceruio, 37, is accused of robbing the Wootton Street Wells Fargo Bank the day before Thanksgiving, the prosecutor's office said. He allegedly demanded cash and, after receiving about $2,000, fled on foot.
He is not accused of having or claiming to have a weapon, officials said.

Merceruio is charged with robbery and theft by unlawful taking. He was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility.
