Morris Catholic Girls Soccer Team Captures Non-Public B Title
Sophomore midfielder Abby Shirkey scored the game-winning goal in the, 1-0, victory over Holy Spirit, according to reports.
MORRIS COUNTY, N.J.– The Morris Catholic high school girls soccer team on Sunday defeated Holy Spirit, 1-0, in the NJSIAA Non-Public B final in Union, according to reports.
Sophomore midfielder Abby Shirkey of Montville scored the lone goal in overtime, the Daily Record reported.
The victory gave Morris Catholic a total of 15 state titles and the school's first since back-to-back wins in 2012-13, according to the Daily Record.
