Morris County Man Caught Trying To Sell $1,200 Of NJT Tickets: Cops
Dover man allegedly tried illegally selling ticket to officer, police said.

Dover, N.J. – A Dover man was arrested Thursday after police say he tampered with a ticket vending machine and illegally sold New Jersey Transit rail tickets and passes.
New Jersey Transit announced Friday that David Mendes, 53, allegedly sold a ticket to a New Jersey Transit Police anti-crime officer at the Dover train station during an investigation spurred by reports of a disabled ticket vending machine.
Around 4:30 p.m. on July 14, Mendes was arrested and found to be in possession of 29 NJT tickets, including three monthly passes and one weekly pass worth more than $1,200.

Mendes was charged with distribution of tickets, receiving stolen property, theft by deception, criminal mischief, and smoking in public.
