Morristown Adopt A Business Raises $100K, But Help Still Needed
Here's where each Morristown business's fundraiser stands as the public helps them cover winter rent.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Adopt a Business Morristown surpassed $100,000 in donations, the town announced. The grassroots initiative — created in November — sets to help local businesses raise enough to cover five months of rent during the coronavirus pandemic.
Dozens of businesses set up GoFundMe pages to help cover the costs.
"We are blown away by the response we’ve seen over the last two months," said Mayor Timothy Dougherty. "Because of each of you, your donation — in sum surpassing $100,000 — is helping our business community keep their lights on, their doors open, and their shelves stocked.”
