Morristown To Celebrate Arbor Day With Seedling Giveaway
Morristown will hold a mayoral planting and then give away some seedlings.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morristown Shade Tree Commission will celebrate Arbor Day with two events. A mayoral planting will take place at Burnham Park before the town gives away seedlings outside Town Hall.
Although New Jersey recognizes Arbor Day on April 30, the events will occur May 1. The planting begins at 10:30 a.m. near the Burnham Park pool and will feature American dogwood, river birch, sweetgum and redbud.
The seedling giveaway will occur from 2-4 p.m. in the Town Hall parking lot. Supply is limited — first come, first served.
