The Morris County Division of Public Health reported 66 new COVID-19 cases in Morristown from Jan. 25 to Tuesday. Officials have reported 1,633 cases in Morristown since the pandemic began.

  • 105 new confirmed cases
  • 13 new probable cases
  • 28,192 total confirmed cases
  • 4,661 total probable cases
  • 851 confirmed deaths
  • 216 probable deaths

The state health department has logged 61,596 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Morris County as of Wednesday morning — an increase of 11,703 in the past week.

Officials tallied about 20,000 doses administered the week prior in Morris County. But weather closures and low doses provided have affected the pace of vaccinations.

Morris County has an estimated population of 491,845, and the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines each require two doses per person.

The Zufall Health Center, which has a Morristown facility, had to alter its COVID-19 vaccination plans because it receives low dose totals each week. The organization chose to stop allowing eligible members of the public to sign up for inoculation and has prioritized its patients. MORE.

Here's what else you should know:

  • Gov. Phil Murphy announced on Wednesday that he's rolling back some restrictions on indoor gatherings that he set in place in November. Murphy announced that limits on indoor gatherings will increase to 35 percent, up from the current 25 percent, effective 8 a.m. on Friday. The number of people permitted indoors will be limited to 150. MORE.
  • CVS will soon begin to administer COVID-19 vaccines to eligible populations on Thursday, Feb. 11 at CVS Pharmacy locations across New Jersey. A total of 27 pharmacies will ultimately give out the vaccine, according to a company press release. MORE.
