Morristown COVID-19 Updates: Hospital Capacities, Vaccine Tips

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Here are the latest coronavirus updates around Morristown.

Cases and Vaccinations

The Morris County Division of Public Health reported 66 new cases in Morristown from Feb. 11 to Tuesday, bringing the town to 1,168 cases since the pandemic began.

The Morris School District reported the following on its COVID-19 dashboard as of Friday:

The New Jersey Department of Health has reported the following totals in Morris County as of Wednesday morning:

• 31,305 total confirmed cases — "total" refers to the number of cases since the pandemic began
• 5,386 total positive cases
• 888 confirmed deaths
• 225 probable deaths

State officials have logged 131,029 vaccine doses administered in Morris County as of Wednesday morning — an increase of about 20,000 since Morristown Patch's last update Feb. 18.

Here's what else you should know:

• Gov. Murphy announced on Monday that all New Jersey houses of worship can immediately operate at 50 percent capacity. Currently, all religious services, wedding services and funerals were limited to 35 percent capacity, with no more than 150 people inside the house of worship at one time. MORE.
• Murphy will allow a limited number of fans back into the audience to watch college and professional sports and to enjoy concerts. MORE.
