The Morris County Division of Public Health identified 57 new cases this past week in Morristown. Officials have reported 2,149 Morristown cases since the pandemic began.

The Morris School District has 26 active cases as of April 9, according to its COVID-19 dashboard. The total includes 15 cases among students and staff for grades 6-12.

The New Jersey Department of Health has reported the following totals in Morris County as of Friday morning:

  • 40,425 total confirmed cases (meaning, since the pandemic began)
  • 7,526 total probable cases
  • 951 confirmed deaths
  • 246 probable deaths

Vaccine Data

Here's the latest vaccine data in Morris County, according to the Centers for Disease Control:

  • 168,621 people fully vaccinated
  • 34.3 percent of people people are fully vaccinated
  • 43.1 percent of adults are fully vaccinated
  • 69.6 percent of people 65 and older are fully vaccinated

The New Jersey Department of Health has logged 5.74 vaccine doses administered, including 2.33 million people fully vaccinated, as of Friday morning. New Jersey must fully vaccinate about 2.4 million more people by the end of June to meet its goal of inoculating 70 percent of adults in six months.

  • The pause on Johnson & Johnson shots won't delay vaccination efforts for Atlantic Health Systems. The company has been administering Pfizer and Moderna shots at its sites, which include the Morris County megasite. Zufall Health halted J&J vaccinations and currently only use Moderna. MORE.
