Cases
Officials reported 104 new cases in Morristown from Dec. 1 through Wednesday, bringing the town to 1,094 cases since the pandemic began.

The state Department of Health reported 210 new cases Thursday in Morristown, bringing the county to 15,970 infections, 733 confirmed deaths and 157 probable deaths to date.

The Morris School District, which last updated its COVID-19 dashboard Wednesday, shows the following:

- The Morris School District will go virtual until January. In the Wednesday announcement, officials also said 93 cases within the district have been identified in the last month. Schools will return Jan. 4 for in-person learning. Among several reasons, they also said some parents haven't followed coronavirus protocols. MORE.
- A Morristown man got violent after a Fattys Restaurant manager told him to wear a mask Wednesday night, according to police. Jose Canales punched the manager, threatened employees while holding a small knife and threw an iPad at workers, authorities said. MORE.
