Morristown Fire Department Secretary, 31, Identified As Victim In Fatal Crash
Heather Bendel died April 1 in Rockaway Township.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – She had a heart for animals and was beloved by those who knew her.
Heather Bendel died on April 1 at the age of 31. She has been identified as the victim of a fatal car crash in Rockaway Township, nj.com reported.
Bendel, of Mt. Tabor, was the secretary to the Chief of Morristown Fire Department.

The two-vehicle crash occurred just before 7 p.m. Friday. Police arrived on scene and found one car had flipped over and pinned its driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
She is survived by her mother, father, brother and extended family members.

Bendel had an extraordinary love of animals and rescued five cats, a dog, and a bunny.

A Celebration of Heather’s Life will be held April 7 at the VFW Post 3401, 45 Tabor Road, Morris Plains, at 11 a.m.
Visitation will be held at Doyle Funeral Home, 106 Maple Avenue, Morristown on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
