MORRISTOWN, NJ — Despite obstacles associated with the coronavirus pandemic, the Morristown High School mock trial team has soared to new heights. The team made the Morris County finals for the first time in school history.

Morristown has previously made the semifinals but never broke past that. The team faces Mendham on Wednesday evening in the Vincent J Apruzzese Mock Trial competition. The winner takes Morris County and moves on to states.

The competitions typically take place at the Morris County Courthouse. But competitors have adapted to a virtual format this year because of the pandemic.
