Morristown To Hold Free Rabies Clinic In June

Dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in carriers June 12 at Town Hall.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Humans aren't the only ones getting vaccinated during this ruff year. Morristown will hold a free rabies clinic for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 12 at Town Hall (200 South St.).

Dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in carriers. Adults must accompany each pet. Call 973-292-6731 to preregister.

Animals who, to the owner's knowledge, have never been vaccinated will receive a one-year shot. All other pets will receive a three-year dose. All animals must get vaccinated before licensing.

Rabies vaccination must be effective through April 30, 2022, for the one-year license and April 30, 2024, for the three-year license. Otherwise, a booster will be required. A free booster can be obtained at the clinic.
