Morristown To Hold Shredding Event May 1

Morristown will take paper bags or cardboard boxes weighing up to 10 pounds.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown will hold a shredding event from 9 a.m. to noon May 1 at the Town Hall parking lot off Franklin Street.

Bring documents for shredding in either paper bags or cardboard boxes weighing up to 10 pounds. Shredding is limited to confidential and sensitive materials. The town advised the public to recycle all other paper.

All COVID-19 regulations will be observed. The town advised people to wear masks.

The event costs $5 per bag, and proceeds will support the Morristown High School Kiwanis Scholarship Fund. Cipshred of Morristown will provide shredding services.

The town says to plan on arriving early, since the event will end before noon if the shredding truck reaches capacity.
