Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival Will Make A Return
After a long pause because of COVID-19, one major Morristown event is coming back.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — If COVID-19 cancellations sound like a broken record, then here's a change in tune: the Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival is making a return.
The event, which brings thousands to Morristown, took a pause last year. The festival will return a month later than usual, taking place from 12-10 p.m. Sept. 18 on the Morristown Green.
"We are pushing the festival back a few weeks this year in order to respect the state's reopening plan throughout summer," said Mayor Tim Dougherty. "But, having waited almost two years now, we think a few weeks in the name of everyone's health and safety is entirely reasonable."

The event is free and open to the public. Parking will be available throughout town and in the public lots near the Green.
The lineup will be announced in June, according to the festival's website.

The Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival was initiated in 2011 and has become one of the most anticipated music festivals in the region, drawing patrons from around the country, boosting local businesses, showcasing world-class musicians who celebrate two great American art forms.
But many of Morristown's major events have been canceled or gone virtual because of the pandemic. Most recently, event organizers postponed the Morris County St. Patrick's Day. Read more: Morris County St. Patrick's Day Parade Postponed Due To COVID-19
As New Jersey rolls back most of its coronavirus restrictions, many of Morristown's landmark events are in position to return.
"The past 12 months have been filled with so many cancellations and postponements that we all felt like the world was on pause," Dougherty said. "And I'm thrilled to announce that we can finally press play as the 2021 Jazz & Blues Festival comes back to Morristown."
