MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown kicked off June by hanging the pride flag outside town hall.

"Join us in celebrating and supporting our LGBT community and highlight the need to work together and promote equal rights for all," said a social-media message from the town's Facebook page.

The town will later become the site of Morris County Pride, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 26 outside the Morris Museum (6 Normany Heights Rd.). EDGE NJ, an LGBT-advocacy organization, will run the event, which includes food trucks, music and drag.
