MORRISTOWN, NJ — Longtime Morristown resident Kevin Creran Hanlon passed away on Friday after a battle with cancer. He was 47 years old.
Hanlon was born in East Hanover and lived in Morristown with his wife of 11 years, Gwen, and their two young children, Hayden, 9, and Declan, 6. Kevin was one of 5, born and raised in East Hanover, NJ, Kevin attended Delbarton and Bayley-Ellard High School '87 and Arizona State, '93. He married the love of his life on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, surrounded by his closest family and friends. He resided in Morristown with his loving wife of 11 years and their two beautiful children.
Kevin loved spending time with his precious family, appreciated the simple life and was always the life of the party. He spent much of his summers with his wife enjoying the sun and laughter of his children on the beaches in Lewes, DE. He loved the Yankees, the Giants, music, watching the sunset, listening to the cicadas sing at night and had the best sense of humor there was. Kevin was proud of his career as a bond broker and cherished the relationships he formed with his co-workers and clients over the years.
The fundraiser looks to raise $200,000 to support his family by setting up a education fund for the couple's two young children. So far, $23,000 has been raised. A portion of the fund will be donated to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
