Morristown Police To Participate In Special Olympics Torch Run
Morristown officers will take the torch from Morris Township's officers. Here's how to watch.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morristown Bureau of Police will participate Friday in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey.
Morristown police will receive the torch from Morris Township's officers sometime between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. The passing of the torch will take place on Speedwell Avenue by the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Then they'll carry it around the Green and along Mt. Kemble Avenue before handing the torch off to Harding Township police.

"We would ask that you join us in celebrating the strength and resiliency of these inspiring athletes," the Morristown Department of Public Safety wrote on Facebook.

Throughout New Jersey, more than 3,000 officers will participate in the journey. The "Flame of Hope" will travel nearly 75 miles, as officers raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics New Jersey. Donate or find out more info.
