MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown residents were told to expect just a dusting during this morning's snow storm, but woke up to a lot more.
The National Weather Service had originally predicted less than an inch of snow for Morristown. According to snow totals released mid-morning on Friday, Morristown got 1.2 inches.
Residents can expect more snow over the weekend. There's a 60 percent chance of a snow and sleet mix Saturday morning, and a 100 percent chance of rain and snow on Sunday. You can see the weekend forecast here:

Tonight: A chance of freezing rain before 10pm, then snow. Low around 28. Northeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Northeast wind around 7 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Light and variable wind becoming northwest around 6 mph in the evening.
Sunday: A chance of rain between 1pm and 4pm, then snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
