Morristown's Epps Jumps Past Competition, Wins National Title
High school alumna has chance to meet qualifying number for Olympic standard.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – Christina Epps is no joke, and she can jump farther than you. No, really, she can, and she just jumped farther than everyone else this past weekend.
At the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Portland, Oregon, Epps notched a field best 46-feet and one and one-quarter inches in the triple jump, besting the next athlete by more than a foot.
Epps, a 2009 graduate of Morristown High School, currently trains at Coppin State where she graduated from in 2013 with a degree in psychology, and will jump again in Portland on March 19. She has the chance to meet the Olympic qualifying standard of 14.15 meters in that jump, according to dailyrecord.com. The standard is 14.15 meters. Epps’ national title jump was 14.05 meters.
