Morristown's Festival On The Green Canceled
The annual festival held on Morristown Green was scheduled for October

MORRISTOWN, NJ—The Morristown Partnership announced that the annual Festival on the Green will not be held for the first time since the early 1990s due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
"The logistical and financial obstacles it would entail to proceed safely makes it unattainable
in 2020," said Jennifer Wehring, executive director for the Morristown Partnership.
The event, which was scheduled for Sunday, October 4, typically draws more than 60,000 people and, with the limit on outdoor gatherings in the state at 500 people, the organizers could not hold the festival safely.

"Such a drastic reduction in visitors would not be in keeping with the spirit of the event," Wehring said.
The festival typically features continuous live music on four different stages, a beer tent, and local businesses, restaurants, and community groups make up more than 150 exhibitors. Next year's festival is scheduled for Sept. 26, 2021.
