Multiple Crashes In Morristown Area Amid Icy Conditions

Few details are available about the crashes in Morristown and on I-287 South in Harding Township.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Authorities reported multiple crashes early Monday afternoon in the Morristown area. A combination of snow and rain created icy conditions that made driving more difficult.

Morristown police reported a crash at 12:36 p.m. Monday on Cory Road between Gregory Terrace and Speedwell Avenue. Authorities closed the road and noted icy conditions but reopened the street as of 1:30 p.m.

A Mack plow truck lost control and struck a guardrail at 12:48 p.m. Monday on I-287 southbound in Harding Township, according to State Police.

The truck hit the left rail, but no injuries were reported, according to Sgt. Philip Curry. Two of the four lanes closed but have since reopened.
