Route 80 Exit To See Overnight Closures This Week
Drivers should be prepared for a detour overnight this week.

DENVILLE, NJ — Route 80's eastbound Exit 38 will be closed overnight Wednesday and Thursday nights, NJ DOT said.
The closures will take place starting at 10 p.m. and ending at 6 a.m. Wednesday into Thursday, and Thursday into Friday. The exit must be closed for milling and paving work, NJ DOT said.
New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced a temporary overnight closure and detour of I-80 eastbound Exit 38 in Denville, Morris County.

The following detours will be in place:
- Motorists wishing to take Exit 38 for Route 46 eastbound will be directed to take Exit 42C for Route 202 north towards Parsippany
- Merge onto Route 202 and stay in the right lane
- Follow signs for the ramp onto I-80 westbound
- Take Exit 39 towards Route 46 eastbound
The roadwork is part of a larger, $20 million state-funded project to maintain and repair bridges across northern New Jersey.
