Snow, Ice Will Make For Messy Commute In Morris Co. Thursday

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook, with up to three inches of snow expected.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Mid-morning snow and ice could make for a messy drive home for Morris County commuters, with some areas potentially getting three inches of snow.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Morris, Warren and Sussex Counties ahead of Thursday's snow. Most areas are expected to get between one and two inches of light snow, with areas in higher elevations looking at three inches.

Snow will give way to rain later in the day Thursday, and drivers should watch out for black ice on the roads as they head home. That rain will continue all weekend, with two inches expected to fall by Sunday night. Warmer temperatures through the weekend should eliminate the risk of icing.
