Socially Distant Santa Claus Is Coming To Morristown
Even though Santa Claus has COVID immunity, Patch's North Pole sources said he wishes to follow virus protocols. Here's when to see him.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Santa Claus is coming to Morristown. Saint Nick will begin Sunday with a fire-engine escort and then make several visits to the "North Pole at North Park Place" throughout December.
The Morristown Partnership will bring back the town's holiday traditions, but they'll be a little different this year because of the coronavirus.
Santa will begin moving his way through town with the Morristown Fire Bureau from 1-4 p.m. Sunday.

Beginning Dec. 5, he'll make several visits to 17 North Park Pl. Visitors will be able to communicate with Santa through the window. No food or drinks are allowed, and masks must be worn at all times.
Santa will attend from 1-4 p.m. Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's leading infectious disease expert, recently told USA Today that Santa is immune to COVID-19. Patch's North Pole sources confirmed this report but says Santa will remain socially distant because he respects local and state protocols.
Downtown Morristown's holiday traditions began in 1913, when a small group o festive volunteers lit a single star atop a tree on the Morristown Green. As in years past, the Morristown Partnership will brighten the area with holiday lights. Santa's mailbox will also be located on the Green for letters from children.
