Teen Hit By Car Leaving Morris Co. Football Game Dies
The teen, described by friends as "a charming, charismatic soul," was just 15 years old.

DOVER, NJ — A Dover teenager who was hit by a car leaving a football game has died, school officials said.
Steven Gomez-Restrepo, 15, died over the weekend, Superintendent of Schools Dr. James McLaughlin said. He was struck while crossing Route 46 on Sept. 13 after attending a football game at Morris Knolls High School.
Gomez-Restrepo, a sophomore, was a distance runner for the track and cross-country teams. The Dover track team also shared the news of his death online.

"He was a good friend and brother who loved his family and friends. He was a charming, charismatic soul who will be missed immensely by his family and friends," a friend wrote on a GoFundMe page set up to help off-set funeral and medical costs.
Counselors have been available to students at Dover schools, and will be available on Monday.

An obituary and funeral arrangements were not available early Monday morning.
