Thanksgiving Turkeys Given To Charities In Morristown

Over 22,000 turkeys will be distributed statewide this holiday season.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Town of Morristown and the Community Food Bank of New Jersey distributed frozen turkeys to seven local charities Monday morning, who will help give them to local families in need.

Town administration and staff, the Department of Public Works, the Morristown Fire Department and the Morristown Police Department all pitched in to unload and organize the turkeys Monday morning.

“The holiday season is time to give back to others, especially those in our local community,” said Morristown Mayor Timothy Dougherty. “The Community FoodBank is an organization that supports our residents here in Morristown and throughout Morris County, and we are honored to contribute to their good work.”
