Tommy's Tavern + Tap Opens Greater Morristown Restaurant
The establishment touts a 'multi-generational' experience that has something for everyone.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — Thomas Bonfiglio developed his namesake tavern to try and provide something for everyone. He recently brought that experience to Greater Morristown, opening Tommy's Tavern & Tap in April.
Bonfiglio founded the Triple T Hospitality Group, which has two main restaurants: Tommy's Tavern & Tap and Tio Taco + Tequila Bar. While Tio specializes in Mexican cuisine, Tommy's features a wide variety from burgers to wings to pizza to sushi.
"With Tommy's, there is literally something for everyone on the menu, and the environment is multi-generational," Bonfiglio told Patch. "You can literally walk in there on a date, for a post-work happy hour, a family dinner with all kids in tow, a girls night out with the pickiest eater you know and see that each person in the group can find at least ten items or more on the menu that would suit their interests."

But Triple T Hospitality Group has proven resilient in tough situations, having expanded during the pandemic. Bonfiglio began with three locations, but the company has more than doubled its restaurants.

When many companies furloughed or laid off workers early in the COVID-19 crisis, that's when they made "strong hires," according to Bonfiglio. As restaurants universally face challenges finding staff, Triple T Hospitality Group will continue putting itself out there. (Click here for jobs.)
"Recently ... staffing has been a major challenge for the organization and many in the state and greater tri-state region," Bonfiglio said. "We are continuing to do extensive recruiting, to find the best fitting talent for the organization."
