Unquarantine: Things To Do This Weekend In Morris County

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Forecasters expect Tropical Storm Elsa to poke her head into New Jersey later Thursday and Friday. But things look clear for much of the weekend.

If you're ready to leave home, there's plenty to do around Morris County. Here are some activities.

Wienermobile

Oscar Mayer's famous Wienermobile's journey will include some stops in Morris County. The 27-foot-long hot dog's stops will include Walmart's in Roxbury, Mount Olive, Hanover and Riverdale. Honoring Stephen Wiley

Attorney, fundraiser, state senator and poet — just a few of Stephen Wiley's roles. A statue of Wiley now sits outside the Morristown & Morris Township Library, and a ceremony for the statue will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday. Wiley helped shape Morristown, including winning a historic legal battle in the 1970s that led to the order to merge Morristown and Morris Township schools.

Mendham Summer Concert

Mendham's summer concert series continues with White Wedding, a "totally radical 80's tribute show." The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Borough Park. Find out more here.

Family Fun Day

Presented by Morristown Beautiful. Activities include planting pumpkin seeds, going on a scavenger hunt and learning about Acorn Hall. The event, which runs from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, costs $10 per child. Find out more here.

Free Concert In Madison

The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts will hold a free concert from 6-8 p.m. Friday with House of Hamill — both accomplished fiddle players and violinists. Find out more here.
