WATCH: Bears Enjoy Warm Weather Weekend
Humans weren't the only creatures soaking up the sun over the weekend.
VERNON, NJ — This weekend gave us unusually good weather for February, weather even bears didn't want to miss.
In a video shot by Vernon resident Arne Bruhns, a family of black bears can be seen playing near a tree in his front yard, scratching their backs before running away.
"They're scratching their backs!" one of his children can be heard saying excitedly.

Playful bears are nothing new in North Jersey (remember the bears who took a swim?), but it is unusual to see them in February.
