What Should Occupy Former Gas Station Site?
It's an entry point into Morristown that's severely underutilized at the moment.
It's a heckuva way to be welcomed into Morristown.
Not that a gas station is a town's crown jewel, but an operational one is certainly a better entry point than one that has been shut down for at least a few years. Judging from the decal in the window indicating anyone born after 1989 would get checked for cigarettes, we are guessing this place shut down somewhere around 2007-2008. If that's the case, people have had some time to think about what should "Occupy This Space."
On the corner of Macculloch Avenue and Market Street, this corner lot does welcome people into one section of town, so that should be taken into account. It also has some pretty long-tenured neighbors, with and right across the street. Additionally, a stone's throw from this site. It's ripe for possibility.
