$1 Million Winner In NJ As $1B Mega Millions Jackpot Is Won
NJ locations announced: Check your pockets – you may have won $1 million in NJ just as the $1 billion Mega Millions jackpot was won.

NEW JERSEY – One $1 million ticket was sold in New Jersey on Friday just as the $1 billion Mega Millions jackpot was won elsewhere.
Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing again produced millions of winning tickets, including a very lucky jackpot ticket in Michigan. That was the only ticket to match all six numbers drawn on Jan. 22 – the white balls 4, 26, 42, 50 and 60, plus the gold Mega Ball 24.
In New Jersey, there was one second-tier prizewinning ticket sold for the Friday drawing that matched five of the five white balls drawn, winning the $1 million prize. The ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven #11027, 2075 Route 88, in Brick.

Moreover, 389,264 other New Jersey players took home $1,455,848 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400.
The estimated $1 billion million jackpot was the third-largest prize in American lottery history, below only two billion-dollar-plus jackpots: the world-record Powerball jackpot of $1.586 billion on Jan. 13, 2016 and the current Mega Millions record of $1.537 billion on Oct. 23, 2018.
The latter is the world’s largest prize won on a single ticket, as the Powerball record was shared by three winning tickets, lottery officials said.
A total of 10 tickets matched the five white balls to win the game’s second prize on Friday. Two of those included the optional Megaplier, a $1 extra purchase available in most states. Sold in North Carolina and Virginia, they are worth $2 million each after the 2X Megaplier was drawn.
The other eight are worth $1 million – two each in Florida and New York, and one each in Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
While the jackpot returning to $20 million, prizes at all other levels continue to add up during this roll, which began after the jackpot was last won in Wisconsin on Sept. 15.
