7-Year-Old Boy's Death In Newark Is Suspicious, Police Say
The boy's death is under investigation.

NEWARK, NJ— Authorities say the death of a 7-year-old boy in Newark on Monday morning is "sudden and suspicious."
According to authorities, police responded to a South Ward residence for a call of a sick or injured person to find the boy unresponsive at 8 a.m. He was taken to Beth Israel Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The boy's death is under investigation. ABC reports authorities are looking to locate the mother's boyfriend.

Police say this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
