Children's Garden Opens in Branch Brook Park
The new garden is meant to foster an interest in nature.
The future children’s garden at Branch Brook Park isn’t just another place to take the kids after being cooped up in the house or to unwind after school -- it’s an outdoor classroom.
The Branch Brook Park Alliance and Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo opened the new section to the public Tuesday. The area of the Newark park is meant to foster an interest for nature in children and teach them about plants and gardening.
This is part of a series of projects by the Branch Brook Park Alliance to revitalize the park and implement new educational and recreational opportunities in the space.
